Volatile Market Environment in 2025 – Adnovum Strengthens Its Strategic Position

Written by Verena Müdespacher | Apr 28, 2026 7:45:08 AM

In 2025, many clients adopted a more selective investment approach in response to ongoing economic uncertainty, resulting in lower order volumes in the custom software business. As a result, the Swiss software company Adnovum recorded a decline in revenue to CHF 110 million while maintaining solid profitability.

Cybersecurity and IAM – demand continues to grow

Demand for managed cybersecurity and identity and access management (IAM) services remained strong in 2025. During the year, Adnovum systematically expanded its cybersecurity and IAM portfolio and enhanced its offering with an attack surface reduction service for Microsoft environments. Partnerships with Inforcer and Cybertide laid the foundation for the efficient operation and continuous monitoring of security environments. The company also broadened its partner network through its collaboration with VSHN, a specialist in DevOps, cloud solutions, and application operations. These new capabilities enabled Adnovum to secure new cybersecurity and IAM projects with organizations such as Zurich University Hospital, Zurich Building Insurance, and the Canton of Lucerne.

With the acquisition of Koch IT and iSPIN in early 2026, Adnovum further expanded its cybersecurity offering by adding a well-established Swiss-based Security Operating Center (SOC) and strengthening its competencies in Managed Security Services (MSS). This positions the company as a trusted partner capable of delivering secure digital solutions across the entire lifecycle from a single source.

Strategic initiatives

At the same time, Adnovum advanced key strategic initiatives in 2025. The company expanded its partnership with the Trust Valley Association and continued its active involvement in Switzerland’s leading cybersecurity ecosystem as a Contributor Partner. In addition, Adnovum invested in both new AI-native software engineering services and strategic partnerships with Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and T-Systems to support the development and operation of cloud and AI-supported solutions. Adnovum also continued to expand its offering around the government’s e-ID trust infrastructure, helping public authorities and companies provide customers and employees with secure e-ID-based access to digital services.

Outlook 2026

Reto Isenegger, Member of the Board of Directors and interim CEO of the company, on the outlook for 2026: «Anyone developing digital solutions today must consider security and artificial intelligence early and at every stage. This is precisely what we focused on last year. By expanding our expertise in cybersecurity and AI-native software engineering, we are strengthening our position as a partner for secure digital transformation.»
